There are so many things we love about celeb stylist Molly Dickson. She’s young and fun, but she busts her butt on the Hollywood circuit, making sure her clients (like 13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford and Sadie Sink from Stranger Things) maintain enough edge to avoid the sweet-young-thing stereotype.
Molly does something similar with her approach to holiday dress-up. It’s a traditionally wholesome season, yes, but that doesn’t mean we need to walk around looking like goody-two-shoes girls. Nor do we need to overdo it with sparkles and trampy party dresses. There’s a balance to be struck here, and Molly nails it with a couple of looks that feature her favorites from our collection and show us exactly how cool you can be and still get in the spirit of the season.
Black Star
Our Nadia Sock Bootie is the workhorse you’re looking for when you need to run from office to year-end cocktail bash. Molly popped these on with sleek black jeans and a sparkly, deep-plunge jacket with a leather tie belt at the waist. She topped it off with the Cobble Hill Crossbody in black. A bendy blowout and red lip top off a polished look that shows almost no sign of effort. Wear this and be the girl we want to have a few more drinks with.
Working Girl
Sometimes the key to a laid back holiday look is pairing a bit of shine with a more casual style. Case in point, our Callista Oxfords in Pewter. They’re just festive enough, and yet completely walkable—which is good for party-hopping purposes. Molly, an apparent style genius, paired these kicks with an office-y outfit that somehow doesn’t look too-too profesh: a dope miniskirt and black tuxedo-style jacket, toned down with a graphic tee. Top it off with the ever-cool Lennox Lunch Box, or Molly’s fave, the Cobble Hill Mini Backpack. You know, for hands-free champagne-and-hors d'oeuvre indulgence.
