When most New Yorkers think of the holidays, they get images of hot toddies and fireplaces, ski resorts and snowy treetops. They dream of shopping on Fifth Avenue, skating at Rockefeller Center and sipping hot chocolate at Serendipity.

Not us. Not this year, anyway. Always the rebels, and ever on the move, we decided to head west to shoot our holiday 2018 campaign. Not to the beach, nor to the city, or the mountain towns. Nope. We went to the desert, to Vasquez Rocks just outside LA, where breathtaking prehistoric rock formations and sparse sagebrush landscapes made an unlikely backdrop for our A/W collection. Glammed up like a true Botkier babe, our model Ana flashed up some of our star accessories. Gleaming patents, shimmering metallics and deep jewel tones pop out against a backdrop of arid, earthy neutrals. It’s the iconoclast’s season’s greetings, and it’s somehow perfect.

Whether you’re stuck in the city or exploring the great outdoors this holiday season, we’ve got a few favorites we’re feeling for celebrating 2018 and crossing the threshold into 2019. Crossbodies like Cobble Hill and Lennox are really doing the trick for us these days, and they’re of course the absolute hit for hands-free holiday travel. Go for red patent if you want a literal holiday look that also screams “French” the rest of the year. Or try the Valentina Flap Satchel in Emerald, a traditionally Christmasy color that also happens to be extremely on-trend right now.

 We’re also loving the Marci shoe in Gunmetal Stripe, which is perfect sparkly for party season, but easily whisks you into the rest of the winter if you want to wear them for an event appearance or to Whole Foods or whatever. Ditto for the Callista in Pewter. We don’t confine glam to the sparkly season. We shine on.
