On the heels of Fashion Week, Shanghai continues the fun with Shanghai Fashion Weekend, a consumer driven event that acts as a fully immersive fashion festival. Over the span of three days, customers are invited to explore unique fashion exhibits, participate in interactive activities, enjoy musical performances, and of course, shop. In an appropriate ode to female empowerment, this year’s theme was “proud to be different, fight for your own beauty”. Because we’re all about women lifting up other women – what makes us different, makes us beautiful and that’s definitely something to be proud of.
Of course, Botkier was there in full force. We started the weekend off with our friend Juju (aka, Julin Chen @julin_415) who hosted a meet & greet with a group of fab girls at our Botkier lounge. Juju is something of a girl-on-the-go herself and manages the work/life balance with shocking ease, a quality that many of her fan-followers (and let’s be real, all of us) look up to. Juju has been a fan of Botkier for several years now, and even featured our Lennox crossbody in sunburst combo at the FUSE concept store in the new Shanghai Xintiandi shopping mall as her current top pick. BIG shout out for all the love and support, Juju!
We were also joined by several influencers who took the opportunity to mingle with us and shop the new collection of spring handbags. Istaya (@istaya0218) styled the Valentina Flap Clutch with a sheer skirt and street worthy sneakers, while Maojiaying tested out several of our latest styles with her camel-colored leather dress. Our favorite on her? The Cobble Hill camera crossbody in blue cadet. Regina (@regina198874) held onto the Valentina Straw Clutch with V cool pant suit, and Sun (@sunss_sun) went for a pop of red in the Cobble Hill Crossbody. Tippi (@tippi_tp) brought Parisian chic to Shanghai with her patent leather beret & Brooklyn Crossbody in Dove (coming soon), while Michelle tried on several styles, including the Cobble Hill backpack and crossbody.
In all, fashion weekend was a wonderful blend of women who all bring their own unique style to the table and show us what it truly means to be a Botkier it-girl – they are powerful, bold, inspiring, and define beauty from the inside out.
