Botkier's Guide To Aspen

If you’ve never been to Aspen, we’re here to tell you - it’s worth the hype. The quintessential ski town is about as charming (and stylish) as they come. Whether you’re hitting the slopes, the shops, or simply prefer an après ski moment, there’s something for everyone. We’ve got the roundup on all things chic - from where to stay, shop, eat, and what to pack for your escape to the stylish little snow globe we call Aspen.

Hit The Slopes

If your idea of fun is shredding a double black diamond - we applaud you. Stay at The Little Nell for easy access to Aspen Mountain - the hub of athletes, A-Listers, and visitors alike. Catch a ride on the Gondola to hit the slopes, or enjoy a drink with a view at Sunset Deck. If you make it to the bottom and are craving a good bite, Ajax Tavern is the perfect spot to people-watch while you snack on truffle fries. The Aspen Highlands is home to the infamous Cloud 9, where you can pop a bottle of bubbly in celebration of making it to the top.

Wear this:

No matter what level you’re at (no shame in a run on Buttermilk Mountain), you can certainly dress the part. Layer up in long sleeves, plush leggings, and a ski set (or suit) and top it off with a cozy beanie for a look that’s just as chic off the mountain. Organize your essentials in the  Cobble Hill mini clutch - a luxe chapstick to avoid the harsh cold weather (Laneige’s lip mask is the best of the best), your phone, a credit card, etc. - that you can tuck into one of your larger ski pockets.

Après Ski

After a long day on the mountain, there’s no shortage of popular spots to post up, après ski. The Little Nell is a scene, complete with spiked hot chocolate & a cozy fireplace, while Hotel Jerome is a staple for it’s moody ambiance and lively J-Bar - plus it’s a great spot for a spa recovery day. If you’re more interested in shopping, there’s plenty to explore in town. Kemosabe is an influencer hotspot - seriously everyone you follow on IG has one of these hats. You can splurge on a style that’s branded with your initials, or head over to Wyld Blue for a beautifully curated selection of items to browse. Feeling hungry? Stop by White Horse Tavern for a kale salad with rotisserie chicken to keep up your shopping stamina - you can thank us later.

Wear this:

A snowy town calls for winter whites. Layer up different shades of white for a casual-yet-classic look that’s perfect for a casual day that could potentially turn into a night out. Pair wide legged white denim with a knit sweater and Chelsea Boots in dove. The Soho Bite Size Tote is the perfect, lightweight carry-all that complements an all white look in a cream colorblock combo. Top off with a Kemosabe hat and a fuzzy, oversized coat for the complete look.

Night Out

Get dressed up, grab your group and head out for a night on the town - starting with dinner at Casa Tua. The lodge is beautifully lit at night, creating a cozy-chic cabin atmosphere. This is one of several A+ options in the area - from Japanese fare at Matsuhisa to French food at Cache Cache, you’re sure to find an incredible meal around any corner.

All hail the leather legging. We’d prefer to wear leather leggings year-round, for 99% of life. Pair them with an oversized sweater, Winter Boots, and the ladylike Crosstown crossbody in bold colorblock for an added pop of color.
