October 1st marks the kickoff to Breast Cancer Awareness month and Botkier is in full pink mode. As a community, many of us have come face to face with breast cancer in some capacity - whether you have personally battled the disease or have been close to someone who has. While breast cancer is one of the more widely recognized diseases, there are so many ways to fight for our fellow females and support them.
Botkier has paired up with Pink Aid, an organization devoted to providing compassionate resources to vulnerable and financially insecure patients battling breast cancer. The organization’s mission is to help underserved individuals get through treatment with compassion, dignity and their households intact, while also serving to empower survivors of every socioeconomic level to heal by helping and inspiring others.
Each year, Pink Aid hosts Pinkchella - a daytime party, luncheon and fashion show that is a true celebration of life. And you know we never miss an opportunity to party for a good cause! In participation, Botkier has donated some of our favorite handbag styles, including the Soho tote and Valentina clutch, to be featured in the auction. If you live in the tri-state area and want to celebrate the best cause, you can purchase tickets here to attend in-person! Even if you’re unable to attend, there are so many ways to show your support. Whether it’s through social awareness, attending a local run/walk, volunteering, or simply wearing pink, there’s nothing too small to make a difference.
If the shop-to-support angle works for you, Botkier has curated a special collection of pink handbags and accessories to support the cause. Throughout the month of October, a portion of all proceeds from pink collection sales will go to Pink Aid to continue their efforts in serving underprivileged breast cancer patients.
